The Dog Days of Summer
Imagination Station lends a paw to all our 4-legged friends
Toledo, Ohio – This weekend, June 12 & 13, we are hosting a special weekend at the science center that’s dedicated to man’s best friend and the people who love them. If you’re looking to adopt, several area rescue shelters will be on hand. You may just fall in love with your ‘fur’ever friend, however, most rescue’s require an application process, so don’t worry about bringing a leash.
And if you’ve already found your little 4-legged ray of sunshine, or are considering it, then this weekend is especially good for learning about how to train your pup, keep him healthy, groom him, feed him tasty treats and even pick up his leftover gifts. Demonstrations will be going on throughout the weekend.
Participants in the Dog Days of Summer weekend are: Planned Pethood, Hairy Houdini Husky Rescue, Herr Pet Training, Scoop-It, Bubble and Bones, Assistance Dogs of America (ADAI), Fur Kid Rescue, Golden Retriever Rescue, Italian Greyhound Rescue of Northwest Ohio and Humane Ohio.
Because of expected rain, the event will take place inside the front entrance of Imagination Station. Admission into the science center is applicable.
The Imagination Station, located on the downtown Toledo riverfront, is a science center dedicated to delivering science and technology based programming to youth and their families throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
