Stegosaurus Spotted at Imagination Station
25 Ton Sand Sculpture Taking Shape
Toledo, Ohio – Dinosaurs that once roamed the earth are now the focus of Imagination Station’s newest exhibit, The BIG DIG. Within this mammoth exhibit, a stegosaurus has already been spotted and the curious eyes of other dinosaurs are cautiously being unveiling.
This, of course, is within the 25 ton sand sculpture currently being carved by reigning world champion sand sculptor, Carl Jara. He’ll be artistically recreating prehistoric life as he sculpts and manicures a pile of sand into a dinosaur and foliage laden sculpture.
Come in and watch the amazing transformation of a massive pile of sand as it is turned into an artistic masterpiece. Carl will be at Imagination Station through Thursday, June 3, culminating in our Members Event, from 6-8pm, Thursday evening.
The Imagination Station, located on the downtown Toledo riverfront, is a science center dedicated to delivering science and technology based programming to youth and their families throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
For more information please call 419.244.2674 or visit our website. All activities are included in the cost of admission. The BIG DIG is sponsored by K12 and the Ohio Virtual Academy.
