Imagination Station Explores the Science of Fireworks & Rockets
Military Personnel Admitted FREE on July 4th
Toledo, Ohio – This weekend! While America is celebrating the Fourth of July with patriotic fireworks and festive celebrations, visitors to Imagination Station will be discovering the science of fireworks and rockets.
Friday, July 2–Sunday, July 4, visitors to Imagination Station’s Science Studio can participate in a festive mini-celebration of our nation’s founding. Visitors will have the opportunity to launch different types of rockets, learning about trajectory and force. Then they can put their knowledge to the test by taking aim at our giant bulls-eye. They’ll also learn about what makes fireworks different colors, like red, yellow and blue.
Saturday, July 3, as always, Lucas County residents, 12 and under, will receive free admission to the science center when accompanied by an adult.
And to celebrate America’s independence and those who have served our country, all military personnel (current or retired) will be admitted to the science center FREE, with proof of military ID on Sunday, July 4, 2010 from Noon-5:00pm.
The Imagination Station, located on the downtown Toledo riverfront, is a science center dedicated to delivering science and technology based programming to youth and their families throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
