Drill Bit
Teeth of the Drill Bit
LOCATION: IN THE FRONT AREA OF ENERGY FACTORY NEAR THE DISCOVERING ENERGY INFO GLIDER
This drill bit was used for drilling an oil well near Coalville, Utah which is east of Salt Lake City. It is a “mill-tooth” drill bit which means the teeth are milled from a steel cone and are treated with an overlay of tungsten carbide. These bits are used in shallower sections of the well generally less than 5,000 feet deep.
