Super Splatter Science!

June 18-22

Kids are messy! Science can be too. We’ve taken our biggest and messiest experiments and put them together for a week of messy, sticky, gooey science fun!

Super Splatter Science embraces all that’s messy and gives campers a full-on science experience that throws them into a chaotic great time, soaks them in exciting science and gives them a summer camp experience like no other.

Campers will run through pools of Oobleck, spew lava from a volcano, shoot elephant’s toothpaste to the ceiling, tie-dye their own t-shirts and be part of a giant mentos fountain, to name just a few of the experience waiting to be had at Imagination Station’s Hot Summer, Cool Science – Super Splatter Science Summer Camp!

***WARNING*** Campers should come prepared to get sticky, dirty, wet and messy, after all, it’s called Super Splatter Science for a reason!

Museum in Motion

July 9-13

Take your science know-how to a whole new level as we explore our most popular exhibits. Campers will make optical illusions, tornadoes, water rockets, elephant’s toothpaste and more! Get up close and personal with your science center favorites. Whether you like to design airplanes, create your own circuit, or perform laboratory experiments, we have it all during our Museum in Motion summer camp. It’ll be an experience you’ll always remember!

Each day, campers will experience what Imagination Station has to offer by taking part in activities that feature each of our different learning worlds. In Mind Zone, they’ll spend some ‘unusual’ time inside our Gravity Room, create their own optical illusions and even make their own flipbooks. Engineer It! gives campers a whole new meaning to hands-on building as they dream up sky-scrapers and then test them on our earthquake simulators.

In Energy Factory, campers will explore different energy sources by building their own circuits and discovering the power of solar energy using the world’s largest solar bag! Water Works will give campers a unique opportunity to experience a hurricane and even create a tornado.

The final day of camp will bring out budding chemists. Campers will get dirty with some of Imagination Station’s most recognizable and fun Science Studio experiments, including bubbles and elephant’s toothpaste.

Friday will also feature a Museum Show Day, where family and visitors can view all the creations made by the campers throughout the week.

Catapults, Coasters and Cars!

This hands-on, creative experience gives campers a first-hand look into the world of engineering. Campers build rockets, catapults, zip-lines and even roller coasters using the Think it, Build it, Test It and Do it again engineering philosophy.

Whether campers are designing a catapult to send marshmallows flying, or launching water rockets in Festival Park, they’ll be using their imaginations to construct devices that allow them to compete against each other. They’ll even take part in the Mint Derby, our ‘minty fresh’ version of a pinewood derby, where campers will compete to create the fastest moving mint mobiles.

Ever tried to move an egg across the room while balancing it on a thin wire? Or dropped an egg from 18-feet and landed it safely on the ground? Catapults, Coasters and Cars! will show you the secrets of doing both of these without ever cracking a shell. Campers will also be inspired to ‘ride the rails’ as they collaborate on a roller coaster design. Their creation will be judged on its creativeness and longest track time.

The last day of camp will feature a Design Show where camper’s inventions will be featured for all of Imagination Station visitors to see.

Discounted rate is only valid for 1 week of camp per camper. Regular price will be charged for any additional weeks. One form per child. Payment due with registration. Confirmation letter and emergency medical  form will be mailed upon registration. Refunds are not possible, however, registrations are transferable. We reserve the right to cancel camps if minimum registration numbers are not met.
