Imagination Station Explores the Science of Fireworks & Rockets

Military Personnel Admitted FREE on July 4th

Toledo, Ohio – This weekend! While America is celebrating the Fourth of July with patriotic fireworks and festive celebrations, visitors to Imagination Station will be discovering the science of fireworks and rockets.

Friday, July 1 – Monday, July 4, visitors to Imagination Station’s Science Studio can participate in festive mini-celebrations like setting off Alka-Seltzer rockets and stomp rockets. They can learn about what makes fireworks different colors, like red, white and blue, how they are propelled so high into the sky and what makes them explode.

Saturday, July 2, as always, Lucas County residents, 12 and under, will receive free admission to the science center when accompanied by an adult. Two children admitted per paid adult admission. Proper identification is required.

Monday, July 4 – We are open from 10:00am-5:00pm. To celebrate America’s independence and those who have served our country, all military personnel (current or retired) will be admitted to the science center FREE, with proof of military ID.

Gizmo, our scientific ‘lab’rador will be roaming around downtown Toledo during this weekend’s Red, White, Kaboom Celebration in Promenade Park, Festival Park and International Park. When you see him, snap a photo with him and post the picture on the ImaginationStationToledo facebook page to be entered to win a family 4-pack of admission tickets to the science center.

And don’t forget, the world-renowned Exhibition, BODIES REVEALED is open at Imagination Station. 10 full body, real human specimens, meticulously prepared and respectfully displayed, alongside over 150 individual organs, allows visitors of all ages explore deep within the human body in a way that informs but doesn’t overwhelm. BODIES REVEALED is sponsored by Mercy and Mercy College.
