1 ) The average person blinks 25 times per minute, which means that visitors to the exhibition will blink an average of between 1,500 and 2,250 times during their stay.
2 ) The average preschooler takes 20-30 breaths per minute, which means that he or she will take more than 1,875 breaths while visiting Sesame Street Presents: The Body.
3 ) There are 206 bones in an adult body, but a baby has more than 350.
4 ) The human body has 650 muscles.
5 ) The average adult’s blood circulates 1,500 times a day, which means that while you’re visiting this exhibition your blood will circulate more than 78 times.
6 ) Ninety percent of all house dust is made up of dead skin.
7 ) The human body contains more than 60,000 miles of blood vessels, enough to circle the Earth nearly two and half times.
8 ) The only bone in the human body not connected to another is the hyoid bone, a V-shaped bone found at the bottom of the tongue that supports the tongue and its muscles.
9 ) The human brain is 85% water.
10 ) The feet contain 25% of all of the body’s bones.
11 ) It takes 17 muscles to smile, but 43 to frown.
