The BIG DIG: Footprints to Fossils

It’s a summer of discovery as we explore fossils! We’re digging up bones, reconstructing skeletons and testing your dinosaur knowledge. Visitors can dig through local Devonian era shale and find fossils that they can keep. They can make fossil rubbings, excavate bones and reconstruct dinosaurs. They can even spend some time exploring our interactive maze. Answer the questions right and find your way out. This summer we put the ROAR back in dinosaur!

Re-surgence – Arena Sculpture Construction

All summer long, a trio of local and regional artists, Sayaka Ganz, Greg Mueller and Steve Williams, will be constructing a sculpture at Imagination Station made from thousands of recycled blue, green and purple post-consumer items (measuring cups, spoons, toys). The artists are inviting the community to come out and lend a hand at constructing this fifty-foot long sculpture, titled Re-surgence, which will be the third work of public art to be permanently installed at the Huntington Center. The sculpture topographically depicts the Downtown section of the Maumee River.

Visitors to Imagination Station are asked to bring recycled products with them to donate to this artistic venture. Click on the picture below to see what type of items they are looking for.
