K’NEX Experiences

Built by Kristle Ebright, 12-28-09
Another popular area where kids of all ages can design and build is our K’NEX area which encourages people to use their imagination and build big.
K’NEX is a brand name of a construction toy system invented by Joel Glickman, designed and produced by K’NEX Industries, Inc. of Hatfield, Pennsylvania, USA. The name is, presumably, a phonetic variation of connects, and is pronounced the same way. The toys building system consists of interconnecting plastic rods and connectors, which can connect together to form all kinds of contraptions.
This K’NEX structure was built by Kristle Ebright on December 28, 2009. Congratulations Kristle for your innovative approach to fun!
Kristle visited Imagination Station again on February 19, 2010 and gave us this fun little contraption, she titled: Fan Wheel with Rotating Swings. Thank you!
This sunflower was proudly constructed by Benjamin Wetzel, 8, on February 19, 2010. Congratulations Benjamin for your beautiful addition to the science center.
