The weather outside is frightful, but our science is so delightful. The Extreme Ice Extravaganza will explore the slippery science of ice with our COOL activities and demonstrations. All weekend long, enjoy activities like snow slime, Insta-snow and 3-D Snowflakes. In addition to your favorite winter activities, visitors can enjoy the following activities from our partners.

Saturday, January 13 

Check out live ice carving demonstrations, presented by Ice Creations.

Sunday, January 14

Meet special guests, The Winter Sisters! The Snow Queen and Ana will perform a special show in our Extreme Science Theater followed by a meet and greet. Presented by, Laurel's Princess Parties, LLC.

Meet and Greet: 2 - 3:30pm

Monday, January 15

It's MLK Day and the science center is open! Spend your day off and explore Dinosaurs Around the World before it goes extinct.

Chief Scientist Carl Nelson demonstrates how quickly the super-absorbent polymer sodium polyacrylate can absorb water to form what looks like instant snow.
