Space . . . the final frontier . . . for exciting science exploration!

The sun, moon and planets each have unique and complex motions that cause them to interact in interesting ways. Discover the motions of the celestial bodies in our solar system in this week dedicated to exploring the final frontier!

Take a giant leap into space exploration by:

  • viewing the night sky in our StarLab planetarium
  • examining star maps
  • discovering the effects of gravity on the planets
  • seeing a real tile from a space shuttle
  • participating in an asteroid mining design contest

Space Week was designed with you in mind! Our themed science weeks perfect for field trips and are guaranteed to engage your students in hands-on science exploration while also aligning with Ohio and Michigan learning standards.

When you attend a field trip during Space Week, you'll receive some amazing add-ons to inspire future physicists, astronomers and aerospace engineers.

Free Science Kit
When your class visits during Space Week, you will receive a free science kit for your classroom. The kit contains all the materials you need to complete a hands-on activity with your class.

Marvel at the Milky Way
Your students will be amazed by all of the celestial sights in the night sky. STARLAB® allows students to study the stars and planets in our galaxy. They will gain a new understanding of the solar system and learn the learn the stories that made some stars famous. Space is limited. Reservations are first come, first served.

Win a Workshop on Wheels
When you visit Imagination Station during Space Week, your class will be entered to win a FREE Workshop on Wheels! The science center will come to you with all the materials needed for a hands-on learning activity.
