Little Scientist Spring Workshops

Thursdays, 10:15am - 11:00am (where noted); 11:30am – 12:15pm 
The Little Scientist Workshops are a series of nine programs that encourage families with young children to investigate the world around them. Your child will explore science through hands-on activities. 

Parent Tip:These programs are a great way to spend time creating and exploring together.

This spring, explore solids, liquids and gases, investigate the food chain and learn about how the day turns to night. 

Workshop Pricing

Sign your child up for one of our workshops or purchase the entire series and save! The workshop series will no longer be available after the first workshop so don't wait.

For kids ages 3 – 5
Imagination Station Members: $5 per workshop / $40 per series
Non-members*: $7 per workshop / $55 per series
*Imagination Station admission must be purchased separately for non-members.

Noisy Boxes March 7 - (closed)
Learn how easy it is to make sounds from everyday objects by exploring sound waves and vibrations, and make your own box guitar to take home.

Little Engineers • March 14 - (closed)
You will huff and puff and blow your way through the story of the Three Little Pigs. See what it takes to build a house that can withstand a gust of wind. 

Groovy UV • March 21 (closed)
Explore shadows and ultraviolet light while learning about the changes from day to night.

Splash of Color • March 28 - (closed)
Learn how color plays an important role in the world as you mix and create stained glass windows.

Sticky Water • 
April 4 (closed)
Play with and explore the properties of water! And, you will take home a handmade lava lamp to continue the excitement.

Sink, Float, Flink • April 11 (closed)
Discover what sinks, floats or flinks! Experiment with different items and even build your own bathtub toy to take home!

Squeak, Rattle, Roar • April 18 (closed)
Learn about different ways that animals can communicate. Discover where different animals live and make your own noisy animal to take home.

Predator vs. Prey • April 25

Become the hungry predator hunting for prey. But, it’s not as easy as it sounds - some of their prey will be camouflaged.

States of Matter • May 2
10:15am OPEN; 11:30am (full)
Investigate the properties of three states of matter -- solids, liquids and gases. Find out how materials can change from one state to another. Finally, put your new knowledge to the test by creating a sweet treat!
