Solar Eclipse and Sun Viewing Safety Tips

On April 8, 2024, our region will be treated to a total solar eclipse and Imagination Station is your destination for all things solar eclipse.

As you get ready to experience totality, one of the best activities to do is making a solar viewer. This Imagination Station solar viewer lets multiple people view the eclipse at one time. It's a fun, interactive and hands-on activity that will educate and excite everyone about the eclipse.

Follow along with Amanda Miller, Experience Manager, as she teaches you how to create a solar viewer.

Remember it is never safe to look at the sun directly. When viewing the eclipse, you need to wear certified eclipse glasses to protect your eyes. Sunglasses, no matter how dark, are still not enough. Imagination Station has certified solar eclipse glasses in Science2Go.
