Women in Science celebrates the achievements of women who have paved the way for the next generation of female engineers, biologists, mathematicians, doctors, astronauts, physicists, and more! Just a few of the innovative women highlighted include:

Valentina Tereshkova
Engineer and cosmonaut who was the first woman in space in 1961.

Hedy Lamar
Inventor and film actress whose work is used for controlling torpedos, wi-fi, blue tooth and military communications. 

Rosalind Franklin
Chemist and x-ray crystallographer who discovered the DNA double helix.

Mary Anning
Paleontologist whose work was key in proving extinction is real.

Katherine Johnson
Physicist and mathematician who calculated the flight path for the fist manned mission to the moon.
